The best way I've found to cook bacon. Cook a whole pound up at once easily without making a huge mess.
Place slices of bacon on a broiler pan or on wire cooling racks over a baking dish with a lip. Place bacon in cold oven and turn oven on to 400°F. Bake for 20 minutes then check every five minutes until the bacon is just under the doneness you like.
Remove the bacon from oven and blot with paper towels if desired. Place bacon in a bag and store in the refrigerator. Reheat in the microwave for 10-60 seconds to warm or crisp.
Don't forget to save that good bacon fat for cooking with.
