Bacon Wrapped and Cheddar Stuffed Dogs

Delicious but very rich and filling. The recipe below can be multiplied easily to accomodate as many dogs as you want to cook.

1 Hot Dog
2 Slices Bacon
1/2 - 1 Oz Cheddar Cheese

Cook the bacon, about three minutes per side over medium heat. Bacon should still be pliable and not too brown.

Butterfly the dogs lengthwise and place them cut side up on a broiler pan. Broil until the face of the hot dog is browned. Remove from broiler and let sit until they're cool enough to handle. Place the cheese inside the hot dog and fold it back up. Wrap the dog in the two slices of bacon, securing the ends with tooth picks if necessary. Return to broiler pan and broil until bacon is crispy and cheese is melted.

It can be eaten with a knife and fork, or the dog can be wrapped in a lettuce leaf or a low carb tortilla.

The carb count on these is going to vary depending on the hot dog you pick. Find a good one and this is almost no carbs at all.

~ 3 Carbs (Depending on the brands of hot dog and bacon used.)
